All steel workstation bridge crane systems can be equipped with lighter weight
ALU-TRACK® bridges. ALU-TRACK Ceiling Mounted Workstation Bridge Cranes are a
durable and long-wearing material handling solution.
Features
ALU-TRACK ceiling mounted workstation bridge crane systems feature smooth, lightweight,
ergonomic movement ideal for monorail applications, tooling lines using balancers,
manipulators, and other end effectors. ALU-TRACK is maintenance free and suitable for
installation in refrigeration areas, clean rooms, and other controlled environments.
Durable polyamide wheels with sealed bearings travel quietly on the ALU-TRACK system as
well as the steel enclosed track workstation bridge crane systems.
SPANCO manufactures 3 models of ALU-TRACK systems; see details below:
- 306 ALU-TRACK ceiling mounted workstation bridge crane
- 308 ALU-TRACK ceiling mounted workstation bridge crane
- Reinforced 308 ALU-TRACK ceiling mounted workstation bridge crane with reinforced 8” aluminum track
Customization
Hanger components, trolleys, and end trucks offer combinations for capacities up to 3,000 lb.
to meet your application requirements.
Design And Service Factors:
- SPANCO ALU-TRACK systems are designed not to exceed deflection of 1/450 of span in accordance with ANSI B30.11, Monorails and Underhung Cranes.
- ALU-TRACK is extruded from high strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and designed in accordance with MMA MH27.2, Standard for Enclosed Track
Underhung Cranes and Monorail Systems-Specifications.
- Nameplate bridge capacity of the workstation bridge crane represents the rated load on the
hoist hook. The load rating of a hoist shall not exceed the bridge rating. SPANCO’s design
includes an allowance of 15% of nameplate capacity for dead weight of the trolley and hoist.
An additional allowance of 25% of nameplate capacity is also included for impact.
306 ALU-TRACK® Ceiling Mounted Workstation Bridge Crane
- 6”Aluminum Track
- 250-1000lb. Capacities – The capacity reduces with length of span.
- Most economical size available for light loads and short spans on Workstation Bridge Cranes
- Extruded from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy
- ALU-TRACK design is light but durable and allows for ease of alignment for a smooth rolling surface
- Internal tapered track provides self-centering of the trolley and end trucks and is the same internal dimensions as the 600 series Workstation Bridge Crane steel track profile.
- ALU-TRACK design allows for ease of hanger location along the length of the track.
- See chart for maximum loading & span capabilities
308 ALU-TRACK® Ceiling Mounted Workstation Bridge Crane
- 8” Aluminum Track
- 500-3000lb. Capacities – The capacity reduces with length of span.
- ALU-TRACK section is deeper and allows for heavier loads and longer span requirements on bridge crane
- Extruded from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy
- Track design allows for ease of alignment for a smooth rolling surface
- Internal tapered track provides self-centering of the trolley and end trucks and is the same internal dimensions as the 700 series Workstation Bridge Crane steel track profile.
- ALU-TRACK design allows for ease of hanger location along the length of the track.
- See chart for maximum loading & span capabilities
Reinforced 308 ALU-TRACK® Ceiling Mounted Workstation Bridge Crane with Reinforced 8” Aluminum Track
- 1000-3000 lb. Capacities – The capacity reduces with length of span
- ALU-TRACK section is established using the standard 8” track and installing an extruded strong-back to increase the height of the track to 12 1/2”
- Reinforced 8” track handles heaver loads at longer spans on workstation bridge crane
- Both the track & strong-back are extruded from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy
- ALU-TRACK design allows for ease of alignment for a smooth rolling surface
- Internal tapered track provides self-centering of the trolley and end trucks and is the same internal dimensions as the 700 series Workstation Bridge Crane steel track profile.
- ALU-TRACK design allows for ease of hanger location along the length of the track and eliminates the need to cope the end of the bridge in order to mount the end trucks.
- See chart for maximum loading & span capabilities
