Crane Dimensions for Stand Alone Workstation Bridge Cranes
SPANCO enclosed track free standing bridge crane dimensional charts are organized according to the length of the maximum support centers for each runway truss. Maximum runway support centers are 20, 25, and 30 feet. To help determine your enclosed track stand alone workstation bridge crane’s specific runway support centers, consider the following points:
- The size of the building or specific area requiring coverage: Will the enclosed track system cover the full building perimeter or a smaller specific area within a building?
- Location of fixed structures such as machinery, building columns, overhead lighting, and fixtures: These factors dictate support column placement and span between column support centers.
- Logistics of material movement within area including capacity and use of lifting equipment such as clamps, tongs, manipulators, etc.
- Specific headroom requirements: 20 ft. runway support centers allow for runway trusses with the shortest depth, maximizing headroom space under the hoist.
- Low profile steel track allows for full utilization of ceiling space. SPANCO systems are three times easier to operate and control than patented track systems.
- Trussed steel track design increases span with fewer runway supports, lessening work area interference.
