SPANCO Prominently Displayed in Popular Science Magazine Feature Article
SPANCO is thrilled to have one of our T Series Gantry Cranes prominently displayed in the January 2010 issue of Popular Science. The article entitled “Space, Inc.,” (Pgs. 34-41) shows several pictures of a 2 Ton capacity SPANCO Adjustable T Series Gantry Crane being used by Scaled Composites at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California. The gantry is being used to aid in lifting of product for the construction of a spacecraft known as SpaceShipTwo. The project is being funded by Richard Branson’s aerospace company, Virgin Galactic. Virgin Galactic plans to bring affordable space travel to the general public.
